Children’s Play Area

The Dillon County Library now has a play area for kids located in the children’s area. You have large play stations such as building, kitchen, grocery store, and doctor. We also have puzzles, blocks, and discover toys. We have a reading tent located in the play area as well.

New Kits

The Dillon County Library has added new children’s kits. These kits include Elementary dance, secondary dance, usa kit, and lego kits. We will also in the near future have teen sewing kits, and nail kits. We will have adult kits that include health, exercise, and cooking.

Summer Reading Challenge Closes August 14th

If you’ve been participating in our Summer Reading program, please complete your last activities. You can mark off your accomplishments in the Beanstack app or visit the library and we’ll help. And don’t forget to swing by to pick up your last badges and goodies! The Summer Reading Challenge (and Beanstack) will close on August 14th.

Summer Learning has Begun!

Registration for Summer Learning 2022, Oceans of Possibilities, is open now. Visit the Summer Learning website, https://henrylibrary.beanstack.org/reader365, to register online or visit the library during normal business hours to register in person and pick up a paper copy of your learning log.  There is also a Beanstack app you can download to your device. Keep track of your reading and activities in the digital site or turn in your paper logs to the library.

Hanging With My Peeps Diorama Contest Returns

Fluffy marshmallow friends are invading the library for the Hanging With My Peeps Diorama Contest. Kits for the contest will be available beginning March 28. Each kit includes some chick or bunny marshmallows, basic diorama supplies, and a box. Individuals and teams are invited to pick up a kit. Story Time Returns!

Come join Miss Elizabeth in-person for stories, singing, and sashaying.

Swing by Fridays at 10am, rain or shine (here is the schedule).

Books and activities are geared toward 2-6 year-olds, but all are welcome.

After a few picture books, stick around for crafts and other activities!
